Our Values
UniKast Radio is a label with a clear path for artists who want to improve and rise through the ranks fairly. We value "Technical Excellence," a commitment to a growth mindset, and we refuse to rely on the social tricks and manipulations that exist among other labels. Here is a brief list of our artist development guidelines:

  • Mixing and mastering should adhere to Audio Engineering Society principles, which generally means mixing to -6dB with no peaks above -3dB and mastering to -14 LUFS.

  • Experimental music is allowed but must have some commercial value. If we release something that is too far off for our listeners, it could affect other artists' music. Acceptable elements include drums, bass, chords, and vocals or a main lead.

  • If you are making a specific genre, we ask that you indulge in its history. Not every technique is needed every time, but understanding why they were used is a valuable tool.

  • Failure is not a threat to your status but an opportunity to learn and grow. Our CEO, UniKat, has not stopped learning about the intricacies of music. Artists who stick to this can easily rise up in UniKast with one of the most supportive communities out there.
